LAMICHE IN SEOUL: MIJN ERVARING MET KOREAANSE HUIDBEHANDELINGEN OP HOOG NIVEAU

Wie zich een beetje verdiept in huidverbetering, komt al snel uit bij Zuid-Korea. Met name Seoul staat bekend als het epicentrum van geavanceerde lasertechnologie en innovatieve huidbehandelingen. Waar men in Nederland nog voorzichtig kan zijn, lijken ze hier een paar stappen vooruit te denken. Tijdens mijn reis besloot ik een afspraak te maken bij Lamiche Dermatology, een kliniek die bekendstaat om haar combinatie van high-tech apparatuur en een meer holistische kijk op huidverbetering. Geen quick fixes, maar een aanpak die gericht is op huidkwaliteit op de lange termijn.

EERSTE INDRUK

Laat ik eerlijk zijn: mijn eerste indruk was overweldigend. De kliniek is groot en het tempo ligt hoog. Het voelt op sommige momenten bijna als een goed geoliede machine, cliënten die elkaar in rap tempo opvolgen en behandelingen die naadloos in elkaar overlopen. Toch merkte ik al snel dat dit juist vertrouwen geeft. Iedereen weet precies wat hij of zij doet, en het tempo lijkt voort te komen uit ervaring. Dit zijn geen experimentele behandelingen, maar procedures die hier dagelijks en veelvuldig worden uitgevoerd door zeer geroutineerde specialisten. En ondanks die efficiëntie was er wel degelijk ruimte voor persoonlijke aandacht. Tijdens het hele traject voelde ik me serieus genomen en, belangrijker nog, in veilige handen.

HET PROCES

1. Intake

De afspraak begint met een korte intake waarin je wensen en huidproblemen worden besproken. In mijn geval: poriën, elasticiteit en de vermoeide uitstraling rond de ogen.

2. Gezichtsscan & consult met de arts

Daarna volgt een uitgebreide huidanalyse met een gezichtsscan. Samen met de arts loop je door de resultaten en bespreek je je persoonlijke voorkeuren. Wat wil je wél, en misschien nog belangrijker, wat wil je niet? Wat me hier opviel, is dat er niet direct wordt gestuurd op ingrepen, maar eerder op verbetering van de huid als geheel.

3. Het behandelplan met de consultant

Vervolgens ga je met een consultant aan tafel om een behandelplan samen te stellen. Hier wordt het concreet. Online of op voorhand worden de prijzen niet als vaste pakketten gepresenteerd; dit wordt pas in dit gesprek helder. Reken globaal op een startpunt van zo’n €750 tot €1000, afhankelijk van wat je doet. Dat klinkt fors, maar voor context: je krijgt een uitgebreide huidanalyse, bent al snel vier tot vijf uur onder behandeling, vaak met meerdere geavanceerde lasers die in Nederland nog beperkt beschikbaar zijn. Daarnaast krijg je een goed gevulde tas met skincare mee, voldoende voor de komende weken. Wat prettig is, is dat je samen stap voor stap door het voorstel loopt. Op basis van je wensen en budget stel je het plan bij. Je kunt het zo uitgebreid maken als je zelf wilt, van lasers tot injectables zoals skinboosters of Botox.Wat hier duidelijk wordt: de focus ligt niet op ‘meer doen’, maar op slimmer combineren. Een meer holistische benadering, waarbij verschillende technieken elkaar versterken.

DE BEHANDELING: HIGH-TECH EN INTENSIEF

Na het plan volgt direct de behandeling. In mijn geval een combinatie van verschillende lasers en skinboosters, waaronder:

• Excel V

• CO2 laser

• New Accolade

• V-Beam

Zonder te technisch te worden: dit zijn behandelingen die zich richten op roodheid (zo bleek uit mijn scan dat ik behoorlijk wat onderhuidse roodheid had. Iets wat je niet direct ziet, maar op termijn wel zichtbaar kan worden), huidtextuur, poriën en algehele huidverbetering. Het proces kan soms wat overweldigend voelen, maar nooit onveilig. Alles wordt stap voor stap uitgelegd. Wat opvalt is hoe normaal het hier is om meerdere technieken in één sessie te combineren. Waar je in Nederland vaak meerdere losse afspraken nodig hebt, wordt hier gekozen voor een meer geconcentreerde aanpak.

DE FILOSOFIE

Wat Lamiche Dermatology onderscheidt, is de filosofie achter de behandelingen. In plaats van direct te kiezen voor opvullen of liften, ligt de focus op:

• huidkwaliteit verbeteren

• collageen stimuleren

• natuurlijke structuren ondersteunen

Dat betekent concreet: geen overdreven fillers of zichtbare ingrepen, maar subtiele aanpassingen die je eigen features versterken. Voor mij persoonlijk was dat precies wat ik zocht. Geen drastische verandering, maar een verfijning van wat er al is.

WAT KUN JE VERWACHTEN?

Belangrijk om te weten, de eerste dagen na de behandeling kun je rekening houden met:

Het echte resultaat zie je pas na verloop van tijd, wanneer de huid zich herstelt en collageenopbouw op gang komt. We zijn inmiddels een maand verder, en het verschil begint echt zichtbaar te worden. Mijn huid voelt steviger, oogt egaler en ik krijg zelfs opmerkingen over mijn kraaienpootjes (die duidelijk zachter zijn geworden). Tegelijkertijd zijn er ook behandelingen uitgevoerd die juist op de lange termijn werken, zoals lasers gericht op onderhuidse roodheid. Dat is niet iets wat je direct ziet, maar waar je op termijn wel de vruchten van plukt.

CONCLUSIE

Mijn ervaring bij Lamiche Dermatology was overwegend zeer positief, en iets wat ik bij een volgende trip zeker opnieuw zou doen. Ja, het kan overweldigend zijn. Maar juist die geroutineerde aanpak en efficiëntie komen voort uit ervaring en schaal. Dat merk je in de uitvoering. Wat mij vooral is bijgebleven:

• de technische kwaliteit van de behandelingen

• de combinatie van verschillende technieken

• en de focus op natuurlijke resultaten

Dit is geen plek voor wie op zoek is naar een snelle, oppervlakkige behandeling. Maar wel voor wie serieus wil investeren in huidverbetering op de lange termijn. Voor mij voelt het als een upgrade van mijn skincare, maar dan op een niveau dat in Nederland nog niet volledig te vergelijken is.

LAMICHE IN SEOUL: MY EXPERIENCE WITH ADVANCED KOREAN SKIN TREATMENTS

Anyone who dives even slightly into skin improvement quickly ends up in South Korea. In particular, Seoul is known as the epicentre of advanced laser technology and innovative aesthetic treatments. Where we in Europe tend to proceed cautiously, things here feel one step ahead - and above all: more decisive. During my trip, I decided to book a treatment at Lamiche Dermatology, a clinic known for combining high-end technology with a more holistic approach to skin improvement. No quick fixes, but a focus on long-term skin quality. My visit was arranged in advance through their international team by Dave Joo, which made the process surprisingly structured and easy to navigate.

FIRST IMPRESSION

To be completely honest, my first impression was overwhelming. The clinic is large, and the pace is fast. At times, it almost feels like a well-oiled machine; clients moving through in rapid succession, with treatments seamlessly following one another. However, I quickly realised this actually builds trust. Everyone clearly knows exactly what they are doing, and the pace seems to come from experience rather than urgency. These are not experimental procedures, but treatments performed daily and at scale by highly seasoned specialists. Despite the efficiency, there was still room for personal attention. Throughout the entire process, I felt taken seriously and, most importantly, safe.

THE PROCESS

1. Intake

The appointment starts with a short intake, where your skin concerns and goals are discussed. In my case: pores, elasticity, and a tired appearance around the eyes.

2. Facial scan & consultation with the doctor

This is followed by an in-depth skin analysis using a facial scan. Together with the doctor, you go through the results and discuss your preferences; what you do want, and perhaps more importantly, what you don’t. What stood out to me here is that the focus is not immediately on procedures, but rather on improving the skin as a whole.

3. Treatment plan with the consultant

Next, you sit down with a consultant to build a treatment plan. Prices are not presented as fixed packages upfront; instead, they become clear during this consultation. As a general reference, expect a starting point of around €750 to €1000, depending on the treatment plan. That may sound significant, but for context: this includes a comprehensive skin analysis, four to five hours of treatment time, and multiple advanced lasers that are still limited in availability in Europe. You also receive a generously filled skincare package for the following weeks. What I appreciated here is that you go through everything step by step. Based on your preferences and budget, the plan can be adjusted. You can keep it as minimal or as extensive as you like. From laser treatments to injectables such as skin boosters or Botox. What becomes clear is that the focus is not on doing more, but on combining treatments more intelligently. A holistic approach, where different modalities reinforce each other.

THE TREATMENT: HIGH-TECH & INTENSIVE

After the plan, treatment begins immediately. In my case, a combination of advanced lasers and skin boosters, including:

Without going too technical: these treatments target redness (my scan revealed a significant amount of underlying redness - not visible at first glance, but something that can become more apparent over time), skin texture, pores, and overall skin quality. The process can feel slightly overwhelming at times, but never unsafe. Everything is explained step by step. What stands out is how normal it is here to combine multiple technologies in a single session. Where in Europe you would often need several separate appointments, here the approach is more condensed and efficient.
